What is Papulopustular Rosacea?

Rosacea is a common skin disorder that can present differently for different people. An estimated 16 million people in the United States live with the condition. Though rosacea usually first appears in people between the ages of 30 and 50, symptoms tend to become more frequent and severe after age 50.

Flushing, perisistent redness, rough skin, facial pain and discomfort, and acne-like bumps are some of the symptoms that can be used to diagnose papulopustular rosacea. The PRISM trial is enrolling people who have this specific type of rosacea.
